Rivermont Farm homebred Loco Abarrio ran a strong 3rd in the Gulfstream Park Sprint Stakes on February 24th, 2024. He ALMOST beat the graded stakes winning Candy Man Rocket. (See photo). This brings his earnings to $233,680. He’s run 16 times with 5 first, 6 seconds and 2 thirds.
This makes Loco Abarrio stakes placed and his dam Ballyhoo Moon an official stakes producer! Loco Abarrio is Ballyhoo Moon’s first foal and only baby to race so far.
Ballyhoo Moon has a 2023 filly by St Patrick’s Day and a 2024 colt by Colonel Liam. She will be bred back to Verifying, the son of Triple Crown winner Justify.

Mighty Miracle has retired from racing
and is home to stay!
Our famous orphan, Mighty Miracle, returned to the farm on January 28th after his journey in racing for the last 3 years. We are so excited to have him home and hope to enjoy the next 25 years or so with him here at Rivermont! Ashley plan on riding him and maybe even showing him after he enjoys a few months of well deserved vacation pasture time.

LOCO ABARRIO wins again at Gulfstream! Congratulations to his connections on an impressive win bringing this 3 year olds earnings to over $172,000!
Loco Abarrio was born and raised here at Rivermont Farm. He is out of mare Ballyhoo Moon (Malibu Moon) and by Valiant Minister. We are so proud of “Rudy” (as he was known when he was here) for his amazing success!
Rivermont Farm homebred JASPER ROBUSTO wired a field of 9 at Hanshin Racecourse in Japan in only his 2nd start on 9/16/23! He won by a good 2 1/2 lengths at a mile and 1/8th distance. We are so proud of this amazing colt who was born and raised at Rivermont! Congratulations to his connections! I’m sure the best is yet to come for “Sparky”! Photo credit to Yuto, whom we are very grateful for these beautiful photos!
Rivermont homebred Jasper Robusto made his first start on August 19th, 2023 at the Kokura Racecourse in Japan, coming in 2nd by a whisker out of a huge field of 16 horses! He was known as “Sparky” when he was at Rivermont, and he was one of our all time favorites.
Rivermont Farm sold Jasper Robusto in October of 2022 at the OBS Yearling Sale for $27,000. Blas Perez Stables purchased him and sold him at the March 2023 OBS sale for $265,000. He was the only Khozan colt to EVER run a 9.4 in his breeze and the highest selling Khozan on record!
He is out of our Stakes Winning mare, Prize Informant and by Khozan. We are so proud of this guy!

Rivermont Farm had our very first homebred win at Gulfstream Park on December 26, 2022! LOCO ABARRIO won by 6 1/2 lengths in a MOC $50K purse. This was his 3rd start where he was 2nd in his first start, won his second start only to be DQ’d to 2nd due to a bump in the homestretch, but third time was a charm and he brought home the win! He also recently ran in the Pasco Stakes at Tampa and came in a respectable 5th and beat a black type stakes winner! UPDATE: Loco Abarrio won again on 3/24 at Gulfstream Park bringing his earnings over $80,000!
Loco Abarrio was born at Rivermont Farm in March of 2020 out of our mare, Ballyhoo Moon (by Malibu Moon). Congratulations to Loco Abarrio (we called him Rudy when he was a little guy) and to all of connections! I think we’re going to see big things from this guy!
